Hairalyze Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Hairalyze (the “App” or “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Hairalyze provides AI-generated cosmetic haircare insights based on user-submitted photos. These Terms govern your use of the Service and how your information and content are processed.

2. Age Requirement

The Service is intended for users aged 13 or older. In regions where the digital age of consent is higher (such as parts of the European Union), users must meet the applicable minimum age or use the Service only with parental or guardian consent.

We do not knowingly collect data from children below the applicable minimum age. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted.

3. Nature of the Service

Hairalyze provides automated, AI-generated feedback relating to hair appearance, grooming, and cosmetic haircare trends.

  • The Service is for informational and cosmetic purposes only.
  • The Service is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any condition.
  • Results may be subjective, inaccurate, incomplete, or generated without human review.
  • You should not rely on results for medical or professional decisions.
  • Features may change, be suspended, or discontinued at any time.

4. User Content and License

You retain ownership of photos or other content you upload (“User Content”). By uploading content, you grant Hairalyze a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to store, process, analyze, and display such content solely to operate and improve the Service.

You may delete scans at any time within the app or by contacting support.

5. AI Processing and Third-Party Providers

To generate analysis results, uploaded images may be securely processed by trusted third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI) using temporary secure access methods. These providers process data only to deliver requested functionality.

Hairalyze does not use your photos to train its own AI models.

6. Data Storage and Security

User content is stored on secure infrastructure providers (such as Supabase). Access is restricted and protected using authentication controls and encryption. While reasonable safeguards are used, no system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Subscriptions and Billing

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date.

  • Billing is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play.
  • You must manage or cancel subscriptions through your platform account settings.
  • Refunds are subject to the policies of the platform provider.

8. Analytics and Attribution

The Service may use analytics and attribution tools (such as AppsFlyer) to measure app performance, installs, and marketing effectiveness. These tools may process device identifiers and usage data in accordance with applicable laws and platform permissions.

9. Prohibited Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including:

  • Uploading illegal, explicit, violent, or harmful content
  • Uploading photos of others without consent
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer or disrupt the Service
  • Using the Service for harassment or discrimination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

10. Service Availability

The Service is provided on an “as-available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. AI-generated outputs are not guaranteed to be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hairalyze will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability will not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the previous 12 months.

13. Modifications

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA.
